A compromised password is the reason for a security breach that recently happened at GoDaddy. Over 1.2 million email addresses and customer numbers were uncovered for active and inactive managed WordPress customers. They’ve revealed that the hacker gained access on September 6th, but wasn’t discovered until November 17th. Customer’s original administrator usernames and passwords were compromised. That’s not all, but sFTP and database usernames and passwords for active customers were also stolen.
